Domaine Michel Niellon, Chassagne-Montrachet, Clos Saint-Jean, Premier Cru 2016

Grape(s)        :  Chardonnay

Description   :

"A reserved nose of lemon and lime zest, crème pâtissière, toasted nuts and toasted wheat introduce an intense, concentrated and full-bodied wine. It's ampler than the Clos de la Maltroie, with a glossily textural attack, pure and deep at the core. Drinking Window 2020 - 2030." -Decanter'93

"Medium straw-yellow. Subdued, musky aromas of yellow fruits, wet stone and flowers. A step up in body and solidity from the Vergers, but with well-integrated acidity giving it a youthful impression. This tactile, concentrated midweight offers early appeal but it finishes with an element of tannic structure that reminded me of a red wine and will almost certainly reward some patience. "-Vinous'90
