Domaine Jean-Luc & Eric Burguet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Tradition-Symphonie 2015

Grape(s)          :  Pinot Noir

Description     :

"From younger vines that come mostly from the eastern side of the Route Nationale; these vineyards include Etelois, Jouise, Creux Brouillard, La Justice, Les Crais, Reniard and La Platière

Here the nose plays right on the edge of perceptible volatile acidity though unless you're very sensitive to it, it's unlikely to noticeably detract from the otherwise attractive red currant, earth and soft wood nuances. I like the sense of energy to the succulent and rich medium-bodied flavors that are sufficiently generously proportioned on the balanced finale that it should permit this to be enjoyable young."-BH'87-90

"From a wide range of vineyards with an average vine age of 40 to 45 years, this is dense purple in colour, with a heady, succulent, rich raspberry nose - very seductive. This fills the mouth, with no obstructive tannins, a little oak in perfect proportion and well balanced acidity. A fine 2015 Gevrey which will be accessible reasonably early. Drink 2019-2023."-Jasper Morris MW, Wine Buyer
